MUMBAI: Travelxp launched Marco, India’s first agentic AI travel agent capable of planning, booking, and paying for entire trips on a user’s behalf. Unveiled at the Global Fintech Fest 2026, the tool integrates an agentic payment layer that allows the system to execute transactions across airlines, hotels, and local activity providers within preset user spending limits.
Unlike traditional AI assistants limited to generating travel itineraries, Marco manages connected bookings and real-time adjustments, such as rescheduling transfers or hotel check-ins during flight delays. The launch targets a major gap in digital travel, where research shows 75% of travelers use AI for trip recommendations but only 13% complete bookings through automated systems.
