New Delhi: The Narendra Modi Government has extended the term of Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba for one more year, till August 2022. The 1982-batch Jharkhand cadre IAS officer was appointed Cabinet Secretary for two years in 2019. Prior to elevated as Cabinet Secretary he was the country’s Home Secretary.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) headed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi cleared his extension order notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
