Mumbai: On International Electrician Day, the RR Kabel Foundation rolled out RRoshani, a targeted skill development initiative for underprivileged youth aged 18 to 30 across Maharashtra. The program aims to equip participants with electrical training, soft skills, and job placement support.
The initiative will run from June to September 2025 in Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Nashik, and Solapur. In collaboration with Kohinoor Technical Institute, FUEL (Friends Union for Energizing Lives), and Rustomjee Academy for Global Careers (RAGC), the program offers 300 hours of hands-on training.
Eligible candidates must have passed SSC and belong to families with an annual income below ₹6 lakh. Participants will also receive an RRoshani Kit—including tools, study material, and branded gear—designed to foster professional pride and readiness.
“We believe that real change begins with opportunity,” said Kirti Kabra, Director at RR Global. “This initiative helps build a future where every young individual can thrive.”
Backed by a ₹53-lakh investment, the program targets at least 50% job placement for certified trainees. It addresses the growing demand for skilled electricians while supporting social mobility and economic inclusion.
