New Delhi: REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, has launched a mobile application designed specifically for current and prospective investors in REC’s 54EC Capital Gain Tax Exemption Bonds.
The ‘SUGAM REC’ mobile app will provide investors with comprehensive information about their investment in REC 54EC Bonds. SUGAM REC is amongst one of REC’s many digital initiatives.
Investors will be able to download their e-bond certificates, apply for new investments, download important forms related to KYC updates, and contact REC’s Investor Cell via phone, email, or WhatsApp.
What are Section 54EC Bonds?
Section 54EC Bonds are a type of fixed income financial instruments which provide tax exemption under capital gains to investors, under Section 54EC of the Income Tax Act.
The mobile application is available for free download on the Android and iOS platforms.
