Mega-Star civil servant sets learning records across disciplines

New Delhi: Samrat Bandopadhyay, a 2010 batch Civil Services officer, continues to inspire with his relentless pursuit of excellence. An IIS officer, he has emerged as the Topper for the sixth consecutive time in the Government’s Karmayogi iGOT Learning initiative, completing a staggering 1,514 courses, including during the prestigious National Learning Week.

Guided by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his role model, Shri Samrat has also demonstrated academic brilliance. He secured a CGPA of 8.82/10 to top his LL.B. in Intellectual Property Law at IIT Kharagpur.

Recently honored with the iGOT Karmayogi award by Dr. L. Murugan, MoS for Information & Broadcasting, Shri Samrat has achieved another milestone: excelling in 20 out of 21 certification courses under the Ministry of Education’s continuous learning program.

His distinction as “Mega-Star” (Topper among Toppers) highlights his mastery across diverse disciplines such as Management, Law, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

An inspiring testament to lifelong learning, Shri Samrat Bandopadhyay embodies dedication, versatility, and the spirit of Karmayogi.

Shri Samrat has consistently displayed a proactive approach, driven by a disciplined attitude and a strong curiosity to learn. During his department’s Vigilance Awareness Week, he stood out by securing two top awards in the Essay and Slogan writing competitions. His efforts were further recognized when he excelled in the Vigilance Rules/Act competition.

Moreover, his active participation in the Hindi Pakhwada (Learning Week) essay writing competition earned him accolades, showcasing his dedication to continuous learning and his commitment to the department’s values.
