New Delhi :Fujifilm India, a leading healthcare, imaging, and electronics company, has launched a “Rooting for a Greener Tomorrow” project to tackle climate change and contribute to society as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.

The environmental program aligns with the group’s purpose of “Giving Our World More Smiles.” This effort contributes to the FUJIFILM Group’s Sustainable Value Plan 2030, and the activity took place at the Government School in Jajru, Haryana, which covers around 44,000 square feet of land. The school staff and children enthusiastically participated in the program, which was supported by a delegation of 50 volunteers from FUJIFILM India’s headquarters.

The campaign seeks to preserve the environment, raise public awareness, and underline the significance of planting native trees to combat rising urban pollution. Employees planted 100 unique trees, including Harsingar, Alba Champa, Jamun, Kadamb, Mohgani, Kathal, and Moringa, with a commitment to 0% tree mortality and assisting students in tracking their growth.

Fujifilm India’s Managing Director, Koji Wada, emphasized the group’s goal of “Giving Our World More Smiles” by bringing together diverse ideas, unique capabilities, and extraordinary individuals to change the world. Our goal is to bring Fujifilm India employees together and educate them on the social elements of our environment, and the rainy season in India is a perfect time to plant trees and contribute to the environment, he added.

Fujifilm India’s Vertical Head, Corporate Communications & CSR, Abhi Shekhar Singh, emphasizes the company’s corporate social responsibility, including TB screening campaigns in Gujarat and its Sustainable Value Plan 2030, which aims to contribute to a sustainable society and environmental awareness among employees.
