REC Foundation commits ₹1.68 crore under CSR to deploy 3 mobile medical units in Jharkhand

REC Foundation, the CSR arm of REC Limited, has signed an MoA with Vikas Bharti Bishunpur to deploy three mobile medical units in Jharkhand under a ₹1.68 crore CSR initiative, ensuring healthcare access in remote areas.

New Delhi :Reaffirming its commitment to accessible healthcare for all, REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, has signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) through its CSR arm, REC Foundation, with Vikas Bharti Bishunpur to strengthen primary healthcare delivery across Jharkhand.

Under the agreement, REC Foundation has committed ₹1.68 crore for the procurement and deployment of three new mobile medical units (MMUs) and their operational costs for one year. The units will serve remote and underserved communities by providing doorstep access to essential medical services in various districts of Jharkhand.

The signing ceremony  was attended by Ashok Bhagat, secretary, Vikas Bharti Bishunpur; Jitendra Srivastava, chairman and managing director, REC Limited; and other senior officials from both organizations.

Through this initiative, REC Foundation continues to advance its mission of ensuring quality healthcare reaches marginalized communities, helping reduce health disparities and improve well-being in the farthest corners of the state.
