NEW DELHI: REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd. (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Ltd., on Monday handed over the Rajgarh Neemuch Power Transmission Ltd. Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to G R Infraprojects Ltd.
G R Infraprojects emerged as the transmission service provider through a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process conducted by RECPDCL, which acted as the bid process coordinator. The project will be developed on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis with an implementation period of 24 months.
The handover was made by RECPDCL CEO T.S.C. Bosh to G R Infraprojects Business Head–Power T&D Saurabh Kaushik in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, G R Infraprojects, and Central Transmission Utility of India Ltd.
The scheme involves the establishment of a 2×500 MVA, 400/220 kV substation at Handiya; about 650 kilometers of 400 kV double-circuit lines; augmentation at Pachora and Neemuch pooling stations; and installation of line bays and bus reactors.
