New Delhi: The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has unveiled the e-Sankhyiki portal (https://esankhyiki.mospi.gov.in) to establish a robust data management and sharing system, ensuring the seamless dissemination of official statistics across India.
The portal integrates an Application Programming Interface (API), enabling efficient data sharing with platforms like the National Data and Analytics Platform (NDAP). Additionally, microdata from surveys and censuses is accessible via the Microdata Portal (https://microdata.gov.in/nada43/index.php/home).
To ensure consistency, the Ministry has introduced a National Metadata Structure (NMDS), promoting uniform data standards. Alongside MoSPI, other central ministries and departments contribute to data dissemination through their portals, websites, and publications.
The initiative reflects MoSPI’s commitment to advancing transparency, accessibility, and data standardization for informed decision-making.
