New Delhi: PTC India Limited, the leading provider of power trading solutions in India, announced today that Dr. Rajib Kumar Mishra has taken over as the company’s chairman and managing director. Dr. Rajib Kumar Mishra is a power market veteran with extensive industry experience. He holds a Ph.D. in business administration from Aligarh Muslim University.

In 2008, the University of Texas at Austin designated him as a Visiting Scholar for his postdoctoral research. He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from NIT, Durgapur, and completed his postgraduate studies at NTNU, Norway, as part of the NORAD Fellowship. Dr. Mishra joined the PTC Board on February 24th, 2015 as Director (Marketing and Business Development).

Prior to this, he has worked as the Executive Director of PTC since October 2011 and has been responsible for operations, business development, retail, and advisory services. He has 38 years of professional experience. He has also served NTPC and POWERGRID in various capacities.

He has authored four books published by Rupa & Co. and twenty-four technical and management papers. Dr. Rajib Kumar Mishra has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of PTC India Ltd., effective March 29, 2023.
