NEW DELHI : A comprehensive training program aimed at fostering a “Seva-Bhav” (service-oriented attitude) among officers of the Department of Legal Affairs was inaugurated today at the Central Services Officers’ Institute in New Delhi. The event, which marked the opening module of a four-stage initiative, saw participation from 36 officers.

The program, led by master trainer and Additional Secretary, Department of Legal Affairs Dr. Anju Rathi Rana, focused on promoting a citizen-centric approach to service delivery. Discussions during the session highlighted the importance of civil servants embodying the principles of dedication and selfless service in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for transforming government employees into “Karmayogis.”

These civil servants, as envisioned by the Prime Minister, are to be dedicated and proactive agents of governance who play a crucial role in making government programs and policies more accessible to the common people.

Supported by officials from the Capacity Building Commission, today’s session underscored the need for legal affairs officers to be at the forefront of taking government initiatives to the people in a more efficient and people-friendly manner. The program is designed to instill a deeper sense of responsibility and service among officials, helping them contribute effectively to the governance process.

The training initiative is set to continue with two more sessions planned for January 30 and February 7, 2024. These sessions will further equip officers with the tools and mindset needed to strengthen the delivery of citizen services across the country.
