NEW DELHI: The Mobius Foundation, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, premiered its much-awaited 10-part documentary series Embers of Hope: The Fight for Our Future on Friday at Bharat Mandapam, urging citizens to act on the escalating climate crisis.
Narrated by Bollywood icon Zeenat Aman, the series takes viewers on a journey through India’s climate frontline — from deforestation and pollution to biodiversity loss and rising sea levels — while spotlighting grassroots innovations and community-led sustainability efforts that offer real hope for change.
The event marked the launch of the series’ official website, www.eohseries.com, and featured an exclusive screening of the first episode. The series will premiere on Discovery, Discovery HD, Discovery+, Animal Planet, and Animal Planet HD beginning November 16, coinciding with the COP30 Climate Summit in Belém, Brazil (November 6–21, 2025). It will air simultaneously across India and other SAARC countries, amplifying the message of climate action across the region.
“The Warning Lights Are Flashing Red”
Speaking at the premiere, Pradip Burman, Chairman of the Mobius Foundation, said the world is running out of time to address climate change.
“The urgency to save our planet simply isn’t there. We have already breached the 1.5°C threshold, and the warning lights are flashing red,” Burman said. “Population growth and unsustainable consumption are driving the crisis. If we want to restore planetary balance, we must rethink how we live, consume, and govern.”
Zeenat Aman: “Climate Change Is Not a Distant Issue”
Aman said the project connected with her personally and emotionally.
“Embers of Hope touched something inside me. It’s a powerful reminder that climate change is not a distant issue — it’s happening here and now,” she said. “We can no longer afford indifference. It’s time to move from awareness to action.”
A Call to Inspire One Million Viewers
Praveen Garg, President of the Mobius Foundation, said the foundation aims for at least one million people to watch Embers of Hope through screenings in schools, colleges, and public forums.
“This documentary is not just about crisis — it’s about solutions. We want it to inspire lifestyle change and influence policy,” Garg said.
Arjun Nohwar, SVP and MD, India & South Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery, said the collaboration extends the company’s mission to create impact through storytelling.
“For decades, we’ve used media to shape awareness. Embers of Hope continues that legacy by urging people to think, feel, and act differently about the planet’s future,” Nohwar said.
Directed by Robin Roy, Embers of Hope: The Fight for Our Future captures stories of resilience and innovation from across India, offering a message of courage and collective responsibility for the planet.
