Gurugram: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, the Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, and the leading NBFC, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat for Rs. 2,094.28 crore for the implementation of the Smart Metering project in PGVCL (Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd.) under Phase 1 of the RDSS Scheme.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister of Gujrat, Shri Bhupendra Patel, by Shri Jai Prakash Shivahare, IAS, MD, GUVNL, and Shri Rajesh Kumar Gupta, CEO, RECPDCL, ahead of the Vibrant Gujrat Summit 2024.

The Government of Gujarat has agreed to assist RECPDCL in obtaining necessary permissions and clearances for their upcoming projects in the state as part of the strategic collaboration.

This initiative is consistent with the state government’s existing policies, rules, and regulations, demonstrating a commitment to fostering development and innovation. The MoU establishes a timetable for the establishment of RECPDCL’s projects in Gujarat.

The collaboration demonstrates the state’s commitment to creating a welcoming environment for businesses and projects, thereby contributing to economic growth and long-term development.
