Tiruchirapalli : A 2 MW solar power plant was set up by the REC foundation, CSR arm of power sector Navratna PSU REC Limited at IIM, Tiruchirapalli campus.
RECL CMD SK Gupta inaugurated the power plant online through a digital platform in the presence of Director (Finance) Ajoy Choudhury ,REC Foundation CEO S N Srinivas and IIM Tiruchirapalli Director Bhimaraya Metri.
The main objective of this project is to be able to power the IIM Tiruchirapalli campus through clean and sustainable means. The event is yet another testament of REC’s focus and commitment to promoting environment sustainability through renewable energy projects and contributing to a greener and cleaner India, a RECL media statement said.
