New Delhi: REC Limited, a Maharatna central public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Power, has secured top honours at the 5th PSU Transformation Awards 2025, winning awards across four major categories for resilience, sustainability, governance, and digital transformation.
REC received the Silver Award for Cyber Defense & Resilience under the Resilience in Action category, recognising its strengthened cybersecurity framework and preparedness against emerging digital threats. The award was accepted by Senior General Manager (IT) and Chief Information Security Officer K. Venugopal along with the CISO team.
In the Green PSU Award category, REC won the Gold Award for ESG Leadership & Net-Zero Operations, highlighting its performance in environmental, social and governance practices and progress toward net-zero goals. The award was received by General Manager (Finance) Awanish Kumar Bharati and Deputy General Manager (Finance) Neha Sharma.
The company’s enterprise-wide risk practices earned it the Risk Management Leader Award for implementation of ISO 31000 – Risk Management Guidelines. Deputy General Manager (Finance) Jeetender Kumar and Deputy Manager Hitesh Kumar Meena accepted the honour.
REC also won the Rising Star Award for Official Website Transformation, recognising its revamped digital platform aligned with a new corporate identity. The award was received by Assistant Manager (BDM) Ujjal Mondal.
The multiple recognitions underscore REC’s focus on operational resilience, sustainability, robust governance and digital innovation in support of India’s power and infrastructure development agenda.
