NEW DELHI — Union Minister of State for Law and Justice (I/c) Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal on Thursday inaugurated a dedicated in-house printing facility at the Legislative Department, Shastri Bhawan, aimed at streamlining the production of key legal publications and improving administrative efficiency.

The facility will support the timely printing of statutory indexes, law books, Patrikas (journals) and other documents of regular relevance to the Department. The inauguration was attended by the Secretary, Legislative Department, senior officials, and representatives from the Official Language Wing and Vidhi Sahitya Prakashan.

To mark the launch, a copy of the Index to Statutory Definitions (Fourth Edition) was printed at the facility in the presence of the Minister and presented to him.

Addressing officials, Minister Meghwal highlighted the importance of internal printing capabilities for ensuring uninterrupted and prompt dissemination of legal materials. The Legislative Department is the nodal body for drafting Central legislation and managing official legal publications.

The new setup is expected to reduce dependence on external presses and accelerate access to statutory information.
