PALI, HARYANA — BRIC-THSTI, Miltenyi Biotec, and BIRAC have launched India’s first hands-on training program in cell and gene therapy (CGT) manufacturing, with a central focus on CAR-T cell therapy. The three-day workshop, “CAR-T Cell Therapy Manufacturing Hands-on Workshop and Symposia,” was held November 12–14, 2025, at THSTI’s CGT facility in the NCR Biotech Science Cluster.
Participants will complete an online module via Miltenyi University before moving to in-person training that covers CAR-T manufacturing on the CliniMACS Prodigy, cell analysis on the MACSQuant® Analyzer, and quality-control workflows aligned with CAR-T Express Mode protocols. Continued access to digital learning modules supports post-workshop progression.
Dr. Priya Kapoor G. Hingorani of Miltenyi Biotec India said the partnership aims to build “future-ready expertise” in advanced therapies. THSTI’s Prof. G. Karthikeyan emphasized India’s growing CGT capabilities, while BIRAC’s Dr. Jitendra Kumar highlighted the importance of skilled human capital for expanding access to cutting-edge therapies.
The initiative marks a significant step in strengthening India’s CGT manufacturing ecosystem and improving long-term patient access to advanced treatments.
