VIZAG: The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh government to participate in the state’s Amaravati Quantum Valley (AQV) initiative. C-DOT will establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) within the AQV, dedicated to Quantum Communication and Security Solutions, along with allied areas like Privacy Enhancement Technologies (PETs).
C-DOT, the premier telecom research and development center under India’s Department of Telecommunications, is responsible for the design and development of indigenous telecom solutions and cutting-edge communication technologies. The organization has already pioneered Quantum Security solutions that have seen widespread installations.
The Amaravati Quantum Valley aims to create an integrated quantum ecosystem by uniting hardware manufacturing, software development, talent nurturing, and research excellence.
The C-DOT CoE’s work will support research and testing aligned with the National Quantum Mission (NQM) and the development of PETs to ensure compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) framework. This effort is intended to strengthen the AQV mandate, foster a “quantum-safe ecosystem,” and enhance digital privacy and data protection across the nation.
The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Shri Nara Lokesh, Minister of IT, Government of Andhra Pradesh, during the 30th edition of the CII Partnership Summit at Vizag.
